Started in the 1970s at Gateway Airport in Ramsey, Minnesota, Gateway Flying Club has been a hub for aviation enthusiasts for decades. When the Ramsey airport closed, we found new heights at Anoka County Blaine (ANE) Airport, where we continue to carry on the spirit today. As a nonprofit Minnesota Corporation, each of our members owns a share in this enthusiastic community of aviators.

At Gateway, it’s all about choice and freedom—and we’ve got the perfect fleet to match. Whether you’re training, traveling, or just chasing adventure, we’ve got the right wings for you:

With three aircraft, you'll have access to planes at a fraction of the cost of sole ownership.

Cessna Skyhawk N70392

Cessna 172 Skyhawk – The ultimate trainer and sightseeing machine. Known for its stability, reliability, and forgiving flight characteristics, the 172M is an ideal choice for both student pilots and experienced aviators alike. Whether you’re working toward your pilot certificate, building hours, or simply taking to the skies for a relaxing escape, this aircraft delivers a smooth and confidence-inspiring ride. With excellent visibility from the cockpit and dependable performance, it’s perfect for everything from pattern work to cross-country adventures. Whether you’re earning your wings or enjoying a peaceful sunset flight, this aircraft remains a go-to favorite for pilots of all levels.

Cessna 182 Skylane – Known as “The Flying Pickup Truck,” this powerhouse is perfect for family vacations, weekend getaways, or hauling gear to the hunting lodge. With its impressive payload capacity, strong climb performance, and higher cruise speeds compared to lighter aircraft, the 182P is built to handle both utility and comfort with ease. Its rugged design and dependable engine make it a favorite for pilots who need versatility without sacrificing reliability. Whether you’re loading up for a backcountry trip, taking friends along for a scenic cross-country flight, or simply enjoying the added performance, the Skylane delivers confidence and capability every time you take off.

Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance – A true SUV of the skies, offering six seats and impressive cargo space—ideal for group trips, business travel, or simply taking everyone along for the ride. Powered by a robust 300-horsepower engine, the Lance delivers strong performance, smooth handling, and the ability to cover serious distance comfortably. Its spacious cabin and club seating make it easy to keep passengers relaxed on longer flights, while the retractable gear adds efficiency and speed for cross-country travel. Whether you’re flying with family, coordinating a business trip, or loading up for a weekend adventure, this aircraft combines comfort, capability, and versatility in one dependable package.

And yes, it’s green.
